Alexandra Fiore ’07 Zolotas – A Charcuterie Architect
12/11/25
We had the pleasure of meeting Alexandra “Allie” Fiore ’07 Zolotas at her kitchen in Newburyport to learn about her company – June and Honey. Allie, who graduated from Montserrat College of Art in Beverly with a BFA in graphic design, spent 10 years working as an Art Director and Graphic Designer. With the arrival of her twin boys, who joined their big sister, Allie hit pause on her graphic design career. A few years later, Allie integrated her love for art with her love for food, thus beginning her journey of designing high end charcuterie boards.
According to Allie, “What started as a way to make family get-togethers and mom’s nights a little more special soon became a true passion for me! I realized I could take my love for good cheese and fresh ingredients and pair it with my design eye for balancing color, texture, and shape, just like I once did for logos and layouts. With this new vision and purpose, June and Honey was soon born!” When asked about the meaning of her company’s name, Allie told us, “My stepsister, who is also a Fenwick graduate, started the company with me. We were both born in June and we decided to top all our boards with a dollop of honeycomb, thus the name June and Honey!”
Allie and her company have been recognized in many venues for their exceptional foods and presentations. Allie has been heard on Boston’s radio KISS 108 and seen in North Shore Magazine for her BONS Award. June and Honey serves a diverse list of clients throughout Massachusetts – Boston University, Babson College, and Renaissance Golf Club’s Women’s Invitational Golf Tournament. They also featured at many special events including home and corporate Christmas parties, weddings, birthday parties, high school and college reunions, anniversary parties, and much more. Allie can also be seen teaching her skills at charcuterie workshops for small groups of people both publicly and privately.
When asked how she chose to attend Fenwick, Allie told us, “I attended St. John’ s in Peabody for elementary school and felt Fenwick was the right next step for my education. I also had a close family friend that attended Fenwick and loved it, so I knew Fenwick was for me.” And when asked about her favorite class at Fenwick, Allie quickly responded, “I loved my art class with Mr. Phelan. Both he and Fenwick truly launched my love and career for art and design. Mr. Phelan was so supportive and encouraging. He was the person that made me realize that I can make a career with my love for art.”
For her favorite Fenwick memories, Allie shared, “I loved being a Fenwick cheerleader. I fondly remember our many school dances and going to Prom. And most importantly, I remember the many great friends I made at Fenwick.” We closed our interview with Allie, seeking words of advice for today’s Fenwick students. Allie explained, “It’s important to be a well-rounded person, to be kind to others, and to be respectful. It is important to know that nothing is ever out of reach, with hard work you will always succeed!”
Thank you, Allie, for sharing your story with us and congratulations on all your wonderful success with June and Honey.
