Anya Moric ’23—A Young Alum with Entrepreneurial Dreams
03/10/25
Since middle school, Anya Moric ‘23 has been running some sort of start-up business, whether it be selling designer sneakers to friends, or leveraging wholesaling trends on Amazon. During her first semester at Babson College, she recognized a need for late night sweets for students on campus. Almost immediately, she started baking and delivering cookies, brownies, and other sweets from her dorm room. This expanded into a thriving food truck business this summer, known as The Cravery. After completely building the truck from scratch, which took upwards of three months, The Cravery was in business starting mid-June. By August, her calendar only had four more available dates. She is already looking to expand with more trucks, and she will be pitching this idea to investors later this fall.
In between balancing her studies at Babson and running her food truck, we had the
opportunity to meet with Anya to learn more about her. According to Anya, “I chose to attend Fenwick because I wanted a private school with a smaller feeling environment so I could get to really know my classmates, teachers, and coaches. I got all of this and more!” When asked about some of her favorite Fenwick classes and activities, Anya mentioned she loved her math and French classes, and she loved playing soccer all four years. When asked what a favorite high school memory would be, Anya told us, “I will never forget my class assembling for the last time in Crusader Square for our march out onto the field for Commencement.”
To no surprise, Anya is very active at Babson. She serves as a peer mentor, a student
ambassador, a part of the student dining association, and a member of the eTower program. eTower is a 21-student living community specifically for entrepreneurial students on the Babson campus. Hundreds of students applied to live in eTower this past spring and only 10 were selected, Anya being one of them! This unique community hosts billionaire business founders, CEOs, investors, and industry experts to speak every Wednesday evening on campus. Many of the eTower residents have started companies that have earned millions in sales and have been featured in Bloomberg Business, Forbes, and other notable financial news sources.
When asked what important skill she feels she learned while at Fenwick, Anya quickly replied, “The importance of having strong relationships with those around you. I feel so fortunate for the wonderful friendships and relationships I had with my fellow Fenwick students, teachers, and coaches.” And when asked what words of advice she might give to today’s Fenwick students, Anya said, “It is never too early to start something you love to do. Nothing is ever a failure, rather just a new learning opportunity. Use your time in high school to experiment and try new things.”
Thank you Anya for sharing your wonderful story with us, and congratulations on all
your great successes. If you are interested in learning more about Anya’s food truck,
