FENWICK

Choir

The Fenwick Choir Program is an integral part of the school’s fine arts curriculum, offering students the opportunity to earn credits while exploring a diverse range of musical styles. It also complements the theater program, providing well-rounded musical education opportunities. The program emphasizes teamwork, and personal growth through performance.

Ensembles & Activities

  • Concert Choir – A non-auditioned ensemble open to all students in grades 9-12. The students learn and perform a wide array of SAB and SATB repertoire. This choir class is an elective course that meets daily and gives the option of honors credit to returning students. There are multiple performing opportunities in and out of school, including our school liturgies, concerts, and community engagements.

  • Select Choir – Select Choir is a performing group open to girls in grades 9-12, that meets weekly after school. There are auditions each fall. This group sings challenging SSA and SSAA repertoire. The Select Choir also performs throughout the year at many concerts and has the option to travel and compete as well.

  • Men’s Choir – Men’s Choir is open to all interested students. They meet throughout the year, and it is a way to build and develop strong tenor/bass voices which will then strengthen the school’s performing arts program. This group performs at our concerts each year and is a real crowd-pleaser!

  • Performance Trips & Festivals – Choir members may participate in many out of school field trips including regional and national music festivals. The choral groups have traveled and performed in places like New York (at Carnegie Hall), Washington DC, and DisneyWorld. These trips and performances give lifelong memories and valuable and enriching musical experiences.
