Dr. Gina Terenzi ’82: A Leader in Dentistry

12/11/25

We recently had the pleasure of meeting with Gina Terenzi ’82 to learn about her impressive expertise and experience in dentistry. Gina, who earned both her BA and DMD at Boston University, is a professor in the Department of Public Health and Community Service at the Tufts School of Dental Medicine. In her current role at Tufts, she serves as the Assistant Dean for Post Graduate Clinical Affairs. Gina also works in association with the Division of Special Care within the Department of Public Health as a staff dentist, treating patients with special needs in the field and in the operating room.

As Gina reflected on her time at Fenwick, she said her sister, Alicia Terenzi-Dehaai ’78, also attended Fenwick, so when the time came for her to choose a high school, her parents suggested she join Alicia. “Both of my parents were educators, and they felt strongly that Bishop Fenwick was the best private high school option on the North Shore. I loved my time at Fenwick and have so many wonderful memories,” said Gina.

When asked about her favorite classes and activities at Fenwick, Gina quickly shared that Spanish 5 with Mr. Farley was her favorite. According to Gina, “There were only four of us in the class and we learned so much and had such great fun!” Gina also mentioned loving her free time in the cafeteria and attending weekly mass with Father Richard Messina. And when asked what important skill she learned at Fenwick that she is still using today, Gina told us, “Communications. I was a very shy kid when I arrived at Fenwick, and the school truly brought me out of my shell.”

Gina recalled she met many wonderful friends while at Fenwick, and to this day, two Fenwick alums remain her very best friends. “As a current member of Fenwick’s Alumni Board, it has given me a great opportunity to reconnect with classmates and to meet others that I didn’t know,” said Gina.

We asked Gina to share a few words of advice for Fenwick students: “Be engaged with people, places, and events around you. Be interested, and interesting. Always have a plan; we all need a map to help guide us where we want to go!”

Gina also shared a message to all alumni — “Please support Fenwick next month during the school’s Giving Day on April 29th. As a donor at Fenwick, I know my support is making an important difference that strengthens the school’s mission for current and future Crusaders.”

We thank Gina for sharing her time and story with us and with the Fenwick community!
