Jay Juffre ’90 – Why I Support Bishop Fenwick…
12/11/25
Jay Juffre, Class of 1990, is a passionate supporter of Bishop Fenwick. Jay invests significant time, serving on the school’s Board of Trustees, co-chairing the Fenwick Locker Room Renovation Campaign, and helping coordinate his Class Reunions.
An exceptionally generous benefactor to our school, Jay recently sponsored the construction of Juffre Plaza, named in honor of his mother. This spacious and stunning plaza provides our Fenwick community with a spectacular new entrance to the school. It is a place where students, faculty, alumni, and friends enjoy a beautiful landscape with various types of seating and an awesome view of our “back yard.”
When asked about why he chooses to give back to Fenwick, Jay shared, “There are a few worthy causes that are extremely important to me – Fenwick is one of them. My philosophy of giving to the school is that I want to help make it better than I found it.” Regarding his inspiration for the dedication of Juffre Plaza, Jay explained, “I always wanted to find a way to honor my late mother, Judith Juffre, who taught at Fenwick for 23 years. My mother was a huge fan of Fenwick, and I know she would be so pleased we built this space for the Fenwick community.”
“Fenwick alumni need to know tuition helps our school stay alive, while philanthropic donations from alumni, parents, and friends make our school really thrive,” said Jay. “It is so important that Fenwick alums donate what they can annually and consistently.” Jay added, “With a gift to Fenwick you can literally and tangibly see the impact of your support. Each and every gift to Fenwick makes a difference the next generation of Crusaders, providing a superior education to the students of today who are the leaders of tomorrow.”
We thank Jay for his generous leadership and stewardship. He is an inspiration for our Fenwick Family. He hopes you will join him in improving our campus, supporting our students, and elevating the entire Fenwick experience.
