John Bozarjian ’00 – Second Generational Family Business Entrepreneur

After graduating from Babson College in 2005 with a degree in Business Management, John Bozarjian ’00 headed to the west coast to put his business degree to work in the B2B industry in the San Franciso Bay area. After 8 years on the west coast, John decided to return to Boston and the North Shore to team up with his father in the family business of B & B Pest Control. The family business, which was established by John’s father in 1982, is seen as a leading pest control company in Massachusetts, providing services to private homeowners in more than 30 communities, large property management companies, several Massachusetts Housing Authorities, and a variety of other institutional organizations.

John joined the Crusader community when he transferred into Fenwick at the start of his junior year. “I was nervous about entering a new school, but I was so incredibly welcomed and embraced by the community. My transition was quick and easy thanks to the great Fenwick family,” according to John. When asked what his favorite class and activity was at Fenwick, John told us, “I loved my AP classes, especially with Mr. Farley. I loved playing basketball and I really enjoyed being part of a fantastic Fenwick basketball team.” John remembers his Senior Week activities with much affection— “We had a terrificsenior class that was very tight. We had great fun during our Beach Day and Prom.”

John also shared, “In addition to receiving a great education at Fenwick, I met many lifelong friends, including my wife Kristin Mihalaros ’02 Bozarjian. I am in close contact with so many of my classmates, both socially and professionally. The Fenwick network is so strong!” When asked what skills he learned while at Fenwick that he still uses today, John quickly replied, “My interpersonal skills.”

At the close of our interview with John, we asked him to share a few words of advice for today’s Fenwick students. John shared the following: “Try everything at Fenwick. Try different classes and try doing things out of your comfort zone. And don’t worry about what other people are thinking you.”
