National Merit Commended Scholar
10/09/25
Fenwick is proud to celebrate Madisen Baker ’26, who has been named a National Merit Commended Scholar!
This honor places Madisen among the top 3% of scorers on the PSAT/NMSQT exam, recognizing her as one of just 34,000 students nationwide to earn this distinction. Each year, more than 1.3 million students from 20,000 high schools enter the program, with only a select group achieving recognition and fewer still earning scholarships for undergraduate study.
Madisen’s achievements extend far beyond the classroom. She is Captain of the Cheerleading Team, a Competitive Dancer, a board member of SmartKids Ghana, a Preschool Ballet teacher, and a Peer Tutor. She also brings her talents to the Science/Engineering Club, Math Team, Red Cross Club, Kindness Club, and the National Honor Society.
In addition, Madisen is a dedicated scholar and researcher. In her “spare” time, she authored a medical research paper entitled “Liquid Biopsies in Gliomas: Technologies and Methods in the Context of Suicide Gene Therapy”—a work now in the process of publication.
Please join us in congratulating Madi on this remarkable recognition and in thanking her for sharing her many gifts with the Fenwick community!
