Student Traditions

The student traditions start before you even begin the school year.  The All-Aboard program provides an opportunity for students to meet each other and get a feel for what their journey will be like here.  The program works on academic readiness including reading and writing skills, math, religion, and works with Project Adventure for the students to learn how to work together.  The students create a bond that carries through to their freshmen orientation day where the students meet their homeroom teachers, review their schedules, and have a fun afternoon led by upperclassmen who volunteer their time to give the freshmen the same experience they had their freshmen year.  September offers our freshmen a chance to get to know our school by attending an Involvement Fair offered during the school day, run for Student Office via our SAC program by participating in our Homeroom Advisory Committee or running for Class Office, attend our most popular Homecoming Semi-Formal, known as HOCO, and catch a football game or two on a Friday night under the lights.  Fall is our busiest time of year here at Fenwick, filled with traditions and events that create lifelong memories for our students.  Fall ends with our traditional Spirit Week which is the most spirited week of the year.  Our students come together as a class and partake in Spirit Days consisting of fun themes, skits, and wall decorating events. 

Winter is filled with Holiday Door Decorating Contests, a semi-formal, and many athletic events where our students can support one another.  Campus Ministry offers Encounter Retreats and service opportunities for our students to participate in.  The Arts program provides a night of music with their Winter Concert.  Springtime is a beautiful time here on campus as our students get ready for their junior and senior proms, the freshmen and sophomore enjoy their spring semi-formal, the students get a chance to use our new outdoor spaces (Juffre Plaza and Chris’s Place) during their free periods, and our seniors enjoy a very special Senior week before they graduate.
